There is a particular quiet that arrives somewhere around the second switchback. The noise of the world falls behind you, the cypress envelops you, and the road winds around sentries of towering redwoods.
Skyline Boulevard is one of the most loved scenic drives in Northern California. It runs along the spine of the Santa Cruz Mountains from Daly City to Saratoga, with the Pacific to the west and the Bay to the east. SkyMoon Ranch sits on a ridge that catches both, just 20 minutes from San Francisco International Airport and 30 minutes to the Stanford campus.
By the time you turn into the property, you will already feel the exhale.
The center of SkyMoon Ranch is an outdoor pavilion in a sunny open meadow, ringed by redwoods on every side. The structure has the feel of a safari tent. Soft light. Tented walls that feel spacious and protected. A long wooden table for dining and conversation. Couches and lounge areas at the edges, for the parts of the day that ask for a softer posture.
Most of the magic happens here. Workshops, circles, meals, quiet writing time, and unstructured access to pine-scented air, spaces for hiking, quiet reflection, and authentic conversation.
The redwoods hold the space. We just try to get out of the way.
The property is 4.5 acres of private land, with access to a new trail directly from the property for longer hikes along the ridge. The land offers opportunities for forest immersion, with inviting spaces for reflection and contemplation near a pond, the pool, soft grassy openings, and meandering walks through the trees.
